Economics courses

Study economics, business economics, or financial economics, and learn to analyse data, interpret markets, and explain the forces shaping business and public policy.

Economists examine how societies make the best use of their scarce resources, advising governments, businesses, and individuals on how to improve decisions and outcomes. Our courses let you study economics closely or apply it to business and financial markets, with the flexibility to combine it with another subject or change direction as your interests develop. You'll build the analytical and data skills to work on the issues economists deal with now, from inflation and investment to climate change, inequality, and healthcare.

Our courses are taught in the School of Business, one of fewer than 6% of business schools worldwide accredited by AACSB.

Undergraduate courses

BSc or MA Economics - what's the difference?

Both the BSc and the MA Economics are four-year undergraduate degrees with the same compulsory modules. The difference is in your optional modules at Levels 1 and 2: on the BSc you would take modules from the sciences and the School of Business, while on the MA you would take modules from the arts and social sciences, such as history, politics, languages, psychology, and geography.
